Library Finds: The Cool, the Odd, and the Curious

The Cuckoo’s Calling is this month’s library find. Why you ask? What makes this crime fiction novel about a detective investigating a supermodel's suicide so special? This book was published in April 2013 by Robert Galbraith and it received some pretty good reviews. However, recently it was discovered that J.K. Rowling actually authored the book and in collusion with her editor published this detective story under the Robert Galbraith pseudonym. On her website she states: “I hoped to keep this secret a little longer, because being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience! It has been wonderful to publish without hype or expectation and pure pleasure to get feedback from publishers and readers under a different name.” What do you think of this tactic? Will you be reading the book? We sure will! Come into the library and checkout a copy of this month’s library find The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith, a.k.a. J.K. Rowling.
