State elections officials have launched an online voter registration system that will allow citizens with computer and Internet access to register to vote.
The new online system allows for citizens, whose signature is already on file with the Department of Motor Vehicles, to submit their voter registration form to their county elections office electronically.
To register online you'll need to enter your California driver's license or identification card number, the last four digits of your Social Security number and your date of birth. Your information will be provided to the California Department of Motor Vehicles to retrieve a copy of your DMV signature.
You can register at the California Secretary of State website.
Remember to complete your electronic form by October 22, 2012 in order to vote on November 6.
If you do not have a signature on file with the DMV you can still register to vote by filling out a traditional registration form and mailing it to your local election office. Voter registration forms can be found at the Arcadia Public Library.
