Nobel Prize in Literature Awarded
Last week the Swedish Academy awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature to French novelist Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio. The academy described Le Clezio as an "author of new departures, poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond and below the reigning civilization." For his efforts, Le Clezio will receive a prize worth $1.4 million, as well as a gold medal. If you're interested in reading his work, check out Wandering Star: A Novel, which is shelved in the fiction collection under the author's last name.
